The latest evidence arrived when the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) invited construction bids for a fresh six-lane expressway, formalising a plan the state cabinet had already cleared with an estimated outlay. On timelines, the cabinet approved this project in August 2026, and the land acquisition target is set by late 2026, with construction expected to begin from early 2027 and completion by mid to late 2028. This expressway does not exist in isolation — it slots into a much larger transport and development pipeline reshaping the Jewar-Greater Noida belt. The expressway is part of a broader infrastructure pipeline around Jewar and Greater Noida, including the Yamuna Pushta Elevated Road, Chilla Elevated Road and Faridabad-Jewar Greenfield Expressway, while YEIDA has also approved proposals for a medical hub, university township, international stadium, interstate bus terminal, Taiwan City and pharmaceutical cluster.
